Privacy Policy for ScriptForge and ForgePad

Last updated: May 7, 2026

ScriptForge and ForgePad ("ScriptForge", "ForgePad", "we", "our", or "us") respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the ScriptForge website and SaaS platform, the ForgePad Mac application, related website pages, account and subscription features, support channels, and related services (together, the "Service").

ScriptForge and ForgePad are operated by Insane Rabbit Labs, a trading name of Fear Army Limited.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account and Contact Information

You may need an account to use paid or cloud-enabled features of ScriptForge or ForgePad. If you create an account, sign in, subscribe, contact us for support, join a waitlist, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect your name, email address, account identifier, message content, and any other information you choose to provide.

ScriptForge and ForgePad may use a shared account and subscription system. This means that if you subscribe through ScriptForge, you may receive access to eligible ForgePad features, and if you subscribe through ForgePad, you may receive access to eligible ScriptForge features.

b. Script, Project, and Creative Content

ScriptForge and ForgePad are built for screenplay and script writing, analysis, development, and related creative workflows. The scripts, notes, outlines, characters, dialogue, project metadata, reports, prompts, generated outputs, uploaded materials, and other creative materials you create, import, submit, or generate are your content.

Where ForgePad stores documents locally on your Mac, that content remains on your device unless you choose to export it, sync it, back it up, sign in to cloud-enabled features, or send it to a feature that requires online processing.

Where you use ScriptForge as a website or SaaS platform, content you upload, enter, generate, or save may be stored on our servers so we can provide the web-based features you request.

If you use AI-assisted writing, feedback, analysis, formatting, image generation, reporting, or similar cloud-enabled features, the relevant text, project content, prompts, metadata, or generated output may be transmitted to our servers or trusted third-party service providers solely to provide the feature you requested.

c. Purchase, Subscription, and Credit Information

If ForgePad is distributed through the Apple App Store or Mac App Store, Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and billing details. We may receive limited non-sensitive transaction information from Apple, such as purchase status, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction identifiers, renewal state, and expiry dates, to unlock paid features, manage credits, provide access across ForgePad and ScriptForge, and provide support.

If you purchase or subscribe through ScriptForge, ForgePad, or our website, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We may receive limited payment and subscription information such as customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, price identifiers, plan type, renewal status, and payment status.

We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple or Stripe.

ScriptForge and ForgePad may use different credit systems. We may store and process credit balances, credit grants, credit usage, subscription tier, entitlement source, and related audit records so that paid features work correctly across both services.

d. Technical, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We may collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve ScriptForge, ForgePad, and connected services, including:

  • App version
  • Browser type
  • Device model and operating system version
  • Language and region settings
  • Account and user identifiers
  • Subscription and entitlement status
  • Credit usage and feature usage
  • Prompt run metadata and AI feature usage
  • Progress, achievements, and app interaction events
  • Crash reports, diagnostics, and performance data where enabled

This information is used to maintain reliability, understand app and website performance, prevent misuse, fix bugs, manage subscriptions and credits, and improve the user experience.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve ScriptForge, ForgePad, and connected services
  • Create and manage accounts
  • Save settings, unlock purchases, manage subscriptions, and operate paid features
  • Provide shared subscription access between ScriptForge and ForgePad
  • Grant, deduct, audit, and display credits
  • Process AI-assisted writing, feedback, reporting, image generation, or analysis requests when you choose to use those features
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you
  • Diagnose bugs, crashes, and performance issues
  • Protect against misuse, fraud, security risks, and unlawful activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell your scripts, notes, outlines, reports, prompts, generated outputs, uploaded materials, or other creative content.

3. AI Features and Creative Content

ScriptForge and ForgePad may include AI-assisted features such as script feedback, rewriting support, structure analysis, dialogue suggestions, summaries, reports, image generation, or brainstorming tools.

When you use these features, only the content needed to perform the requested action is processed. You are responsible for deciding what content to submit to AI features.

We do not use your creative content to train our own proprietary AI models. Third-party AI providers may process submitted content as service providers for the purpose of generating the requested output, subject to their applicable contractual, technical, and legal controls.

AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete, inaccurate, generic, or unsuitable for your project. You should review all outputs before relying on them.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information on the following bases:

  • Contract: to provide ScriptForge, ForgePad, subscriptions, credits, and features you request
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, debug, prevent misuse, and improve the Service
  • Consent: where required for optional analytics, marketing, or similar processing
  • Legal obligation: where processing is needed to comply with applicable law

5. Sharing Information

We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers that help us operate ScriptForge and ForgePad, such as cloud infrastructure, analytics, crash diagnostics, AI processing, payment processing, email, support, and security providers
  • With Apple, Stripe, or other platform/payment providers where needed for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, refunds, entitlement checks, or platform compliance
  • Between ScriptForge and ForgePad systems where needed to provide shared account access, subscription status, credits, and paid features
  • If required by law, legal process, or a lawful request from public authorities
  • To protect the rights, safety, property, or security of ScriptForge, ForgePad, our users, or others
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, provided appropriate protections remain in place

We require service providers to handle information only for authorised purposes and to use appropriate safeguards.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain account and subscription records, manage credits, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Local ForgePad documents are controlled by you on your Mac. Deleting local files or uninstalling the app may remove locally stored data, subject to any backups, exports, cloud sync services, or system-level storage you control.

ScriptForge web content, account records, generated reports, subscription records, credit records, transaction records, support correspondence, and audit records may be retained for a reasonable period so we can provide the Service, manage access, support users, maintain financial records, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@insanerabbit.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.

You can control local documents, exports, backups, app permissions, subscriptions, and analytics preferences through ForgePad, macOS, Apple, ScriptForge, and any cloud sync or backup services you choose to use.

8. International Transfers

We may process information in the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

ScriptForge and ForgePad are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

ScriptForge and ForgePad may interact with third-party services, including Apple services, Stripe, AI providers, cloud storage providers, analytics providers, support providers, or websites you choose to use. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
